One of my favorite Nintendo 64 games is finally coming to the VC soon. It will release in Japan on December 4 for 1000 Wii Points. But there is a new special feature being added to this classic game. Now, you will have the ability to send your pictures to your friends via WiiConnect24. This is an exciting new feature and it is the first time something new is added to a VC game. Although it will come to Japan only next week, it will be coming to the U.S on monday December 10. Buy this. It will be the best three hours youve ever spent with a classic controler in your hands.

2 New Nintendo DS Bundle Packs
On this Friday (the biggest shopping day of the year), Nintendo is releasing 2 new Nintendo DS Lite Bundle Packs!
The first is a golden Nintendo DS Lite with a Triforce on the front. It comes with Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.
The second bundle is a pink Nintendo DS Lite with a paw print on the front. It comes with Nintendogs: Best Friends Edition.
And though no price was given in the official press release, I am assuming that it is being priced at the same as the other Nintendo DS Lite bundle packs, which is $149.99. And as I said they are both being released this Friday, November 23, 2007. Pictures of the new bundles can be seen below:
Edit: I have just found out that many of you were unable to view the pictures posted here. And the few who were able to view them had their browser's crash from the images being so high-res. So, they are now being replaced with smaller and more browser friendly versions of the images. I apologize for the inconveince.

First Halo 3 Map Pack Announced
It has not been long since Halo 3 first launched and the first map pack is already releasing. The Halo 3 Heroic map pack will arrive on the Xbox Live Marketplace on December 11, 2007. The pack will include three maps. Standoff is a symetrical valley great for slayer matches. Rat's Nest is an "indoor vehicle paradise" which was strongly influenced by campaign mode and is great for big team battles. The last map, Foundry, is made with forge in mind. In this map, you can edit EVERYTHING letting users create the map of their dreams. The Heroic map pack will cost 800 MS Points or $10 but will become free this spring. As you already know, my Xbox 360 died and was sent to Texas to get repaired. It is coming back and hopefully be at my door on Wednesday 11/21. The GamersCast Halo 3 tournament will be held this December. If you have Xbox Live gold and Halo 3 I strongly suggest you sign up by sending an email with your gamertag in the subject line to HaloGC@gmail.com. If you have any questions or concerns about anything related to video games or about GamersCast please feel free to email me at adam@gamerscastpodcast.com. If I like what you wrote, it might be read on a future episode of GamersCast

Xbox 360 Fall Update Details Revealed
The fifth aniversary of Xbox Live is coming very soon and today, Microsoft unveiled some of the key features that will be in the annual fall update. The first new feature is a parental timer which gives parents control of how long their children are playing without telling them. The next great feature will be something called Xbox Classics that will appear on the Xbox Live Marketplace. It pretty much is a "virtural console" for original Xbox games. Halo, Fable, Psyconauts, Fusion Frenzy, Crimson Skies: Road to Revenge, Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, and Burnout 3: Takedown will be among the first games to hit the service. This is a great lineup of some of the greatest Xbox games of all time(except for Crash). Each game will cost 1200 MS points or about $15. A great announcement about movies on demand on Xbox Live. Warner Bros. announced that new and upcoming movies like The Dark Knight, The Assassination of Jesse James and I Am Legend will be coming to the service in 2008. The fall update is scheduled to come out on December 4, 2007.

GamersCast # 25: Touching is Good
At long last after too much editing, episode 25 of GamersCast has officially been released onto the podcast feed. Because it is second latest item on the podcast feed you may have to manually click the download or "get" button in iTunes or in your podcasting client to get this episode.
Now, why did the episode take so long to get release? We had some problems with the quality, and though it sounds dramatically better now than it did before, there is still just a bit of static. Please note, we have resolved this problem so it WILL NOT ever occur again. Also keep in mind, that the quality does get better, the farther you get into the episode.
Aside from audio quality, this is easily the best episode of GamersCast we have ever done! Here's some of the highlights from GamersCast # 25: Touching is Good:
- BEST EPISODE EVER!!!!!
- We respond the listener's e-mails
- Is Nintendo going to sue Apple?
- Massive Halo 3 Discussion
- Halo 3 Tournament Sign-Ups Open!
- Is Halo worth cutting school over?
- Was Halo over-hyped?
- Bungie splits from Microsoft (and reason why I didn't post about it)
- In-Depth Tokyo Game Show 2007 Analysis
- Steve has a nice Japanese accent :P
- How long does the PlayStation 2 actually have to live?
- Apple releases iPod/iPhone SDK
- Super Smash Brothers Brawl News
- Japanese import games for Wii VC
- SpongeBob has been stealing ideas from Nintendo!
- Samus VS Master Chief
- Link VS Cloud
- Intense Phantom Hourglass Discussion
- What's been changed since the Japanese version of the Phantom Hourglass?
- Dumbledore is Gay!
- Nintendo's Fall Press Conference Analysis
- Which is best form of FPS controls?
- AND MUCH MUCH MORE!!
This is one episode you guys really HAVE TO listen to! It was just THAT good! Squeeze time in somehow, listen before bed, do whatever you have to, because this is GamersCast at its finest! This post will not appear on the news feed, so you newsletter subscribers are getting a look at an episode that will go down in GamersCast history. (So, now episode 8 is only 2nd best XD )
I also want to mention that based on your feedback, we have decided to have a LIVE episode of GamersCast! Right now, we're planning on having it the week before New Years, so that school wouldn't be an issue for listener's attendance. Give us as much feedback as possible on what you want to see from the live GamersCast, so we can make this event as much of a success as possible!

Check Mii Out Channel Videos
Just like we do whenever a new Wii Channel comes out, we make a video showing its features so you know whether it's worth downloading, but this time, we made two, because right after I made the video I found a glitch in the channel while it was still recording, so this time we have two videos! One is a walk-through of the channel and the other is a video of the glitch.

Text Reviews (Super Mario Galaxy)
Hey everyone, I have now decided that not only are we going to be delivering audio and video reviews, but we are now going to occasionally doing written text reviews as well. Text reviews may or may not be added to the podcast feed. It depends upon when the review is made.
But I am happy to announce that both the text and audio reviews for Super Mario Galaxy have been made, and you may be surprised by what's inside! And a video review of the game is also on the way, along with reviews from others here at GamersCast!
You can check out the Super Mario Galaxy reviews at:

3 New Assassin's Creed Trailers
Last night on South Park, 3 new trailers to Assassin's Creed were revealed. All of which covered the entire commercial breaks, and all of which were awesome! Though as we get closer the release, it seems that the DS version of the game, may never actually come out. :( All three of these trailers can be seen below.
Oh yeah, and it may may interest viewers to know that it was a Guitar Hero themed episode of South Park. Which I will note was pretty dang funny. Except Adam was pretty offended by the ending. Which actually just made me laugh even harder! XD!
Assassin's Creed will be released on November 13 in the US, and November 16 everywhere else on consoles (except Wii). It is unknown when the mobile version of the game will release, though it may possibly be sometime in November as well. Anyway, here's the trailers:
I'm in the middle of capturing the trailers now, since I can't seem to find them anywhere else on the internet, surprisingly. I'll make an edit to this post once they're uploaded. *sighs* Why must the internet be so lazy?

Check Mii Out Channel Dated!
Well, I am now very very happy to announce that Nintendo's Check Mii Out Channel (yeah, they changed the name back again) will be released on November 11, 2007. Why am I "very happy" to announce it? Well, you may remember I made a bet that Metroid Prime 3: Corruption would be online on GamersCast, and that I got out of it from a technicality (we did review the original bet to confirm), and if I lost I would've had to eat a case of wsabi peanuts. Well, about a week ago I made another bet with Steve, of which I predicted dates that a new Wii Channel would come out. And this time, I was right! If I lost I would've had to swallow a spoonful of cinnamon dry! (In case you didn't know, that is said to be physically impossible, as the cinnamon absorbs all moisture from your mouth, not allowing you to swallow). But, I won! So, you heard it hear first, folks! I predicted the date this channel would be released! But anyway, enough about the bet, what's channel all about?
Well, the Check Mii Out Channel is a channel which will allow you to download Miis from around the world and hold contests seeings who's Mii is the best. All and all, the channel is as simple as that? Will Nintendo raise the 100 Mii limit for this channel? Doubtful, which leaves me in the dust. However, we know that Nintendo has been working on this channel since at least around February or March, so there's probably more to it than meets the eye. Or it could've been done for a while, and Nintendo's just been waiting for Veteran's day to release it.
Oh yeah, I guess I should also note that, nothing about the Check Mii Out Channel was announced for PAL (eastern-hemisphere) Wii owners. Though, the release is said to be around the same time for them.
Whatever the case is. Ultimately, I was right. :P But don't worry there was a part 2 to the bet, in which I picked another date for a 2nd Wii Channel to be released in this month. Was I right on both parts, or just this one? Find out, this Thanksgiving (US holiday)!

No Wii HDD
Nintendo has recently confirmed that they have no plans of ever releasing any form of expandable memory for the wii. So it now seems like the only way you'll ever be able to store those extra files is on your SD cards. Though it is puzzling why Nintendo would come out and announce this. We will have a detailed discussion on the pros and cons of consoles using hard drives on the next epispde of GamersCast (episode 26).

New PS2 model!
Well, Sony's little console that could still continues to dominate in Sony's sales. And it now appears that Sony has taken notice, by unveiling a newer, yet inexpensive model of the PlayStation 2.
This newer model called the SCPH-90000 SERIES features not only a very confusing title, but also an internal AC adapter, making the console somewhat more portable and easy to transport (with no power brick). The insides of the console was completely re-done allowing it to also have a much lighter weight and size.
The new model will be available in three different colors: "Ceramic White", "Charcoal Black", and "Satin Silver". And it will also be released with vertical stands, releasing in the same colors as the console.
The new console will become first available in Japan on November 22, 2007. And it has also been confirmed for the rest of the world at some point in 2008. In Japan, the console will cost 16,000 yen (including tax). In Europe the console will cost the same as the existing models. And the price for the United States in unknown, though rumor has it, that it will cost only $99.

Halo 3 Tournament Delayed Along With Some Reviews
I never thought it would happen but this afternoon I saw doom and death in the form of three flashing red lights. After about 19 months, my Xbox 360 has died. I called Microsoft and they will be repairing it. It will take 3-5 business days for "the coffin" to arrive and a couple of days get it to Microsoft. I should have either my repaired 360 or a replacement in 3-4 week so unless Matt is willing to moderate the Halo 3 tournament using his friend's Xbox 360, it will not be held until December. This will also mean that my reviews of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Rock Band, and other Xbox 360 titles will come later than expected. Also my reviews of The Orange Box and Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock along with a preview of God of War: Chains of Olympus should be up on the podcast feed soon. Keep signing up for the Halo 3 tournament by emailing : HaloGC@gmail.com and putting your Gamertag in the subject line. If you have any questions or concerns on anything related to video games, GamersCast, or something else please feel free to contact me by emailing me at adam@gamerscastpodcast.com
As long as your question or concern is not too personal, I will reply to it and if it is a good question, I will read it on a future episode of GamersCast.

Another New Xbox 360 Model....
Wow, did Microsoft really need to make a 4th model of their Xbox 360? Well, whatever. What it seems happened this time is that Microsoft took notice about how Nintendo's approach to families worked so well, so they made an Xbox 360 model for families.
This one is the Xbox 360: Arcade Edition. If you're wondering how it ranks compared to the other models, this one is in between the basic and premium Xbox 360s. What it generally is, is just a basic Xbox 360 with 256MB of internal storage and an HDMI output. Oh yeah, and Pac-Man Champoinship Edition, Luxor 2, Uno, Boom Boom Rocket, and Feeding Frenzy Live Arcade games are pre-installed into the system.
The Xbox 360 Arcade is already available for purchase in stores (way to build up the hype, Microsoft :P) and will cost an MSRP of $279.99.
