PS3 PRICE DROP!
But if you're still interested in reading on, listen closely because there is good news for the US at the end of this.
Generally the Sony executives in Japan came to their senses and dropped the price, to a much lower price. After currency conversions the price drop is $110 difference, making it a mere $439! Despite the fact that the American PS3 is over $250 more expensive, but to redeem themselves after being questioned Kaz Hirai quickly added that though they are comfortable with the current price tag, they will be shipping an HDMI port with the American PS3, but despite this I don't think it's worth the $600, so if you still want a PS3, import it from Japan! Might I recommend using the following site for the import:
http://lik-sang.com/
And here's a direct link to the PS3 page on the site, which you will able to purchase the PS3 with, once it launches:

Tokyo Game Show 2006!
GamersCast Mobile - Episode 1 Released (Episode 16)
One more thing, we did record the actual episode 16 of GamersCast, but computer broke down while it was saving. To say the least it was interesting, but it could have went better anyway, so we are gonna better organize the content of the episode and re-record it, so it will also include information about what's going on at the Tokyo Game Show this year!
PS: If you'rre upset we didn't tell you that we were planning GamersCast Mobile, then I'll hint to you that we're preparing something over the next few weeks to better organize every scrap of GamersCast content, in a way that you never saw coming..... So, now I made anticipation and it will still be a surprise once I announce it (not even the co-hosts know about it yet)

Low-Bandwith GamersCast Feed!
Normal Bandwith Feed
Audio Files: Either 64kbps or 96kbps (FM Radio Quality - CD Quality)
Video Files: Either 256kbps or 362kbps (audio at 64kbps - stereo)
Low Bandwith Feed
Audio Files: 48 kbps (AM radio Quality)
Video Files: Either 128 kbps or 256kbps (audio at 56kbps - mono)
The Tournament feed will not have a low bandwith version of itself as most of the content covered is also found on the GamersCast Tournament News Feed and making a new low-bandwith version of that podcast would be unnessessary, but for your conveinence I will tell you the bitrate of the tournament podcast:
Audio Files: 48kbps or 64kbps (if music is attached 64kbps will be used, if not 48kbps will be used)
Video Files: 256kbps (audio at 56kbps or 64kbps - stereo)
Nor will a low-bandwith version of the video podcast be made as it is unneeded at this time. In the meta data of the videos shown on the podcast, the source of the video is shown, and can be found on that website, thus downloading the videos is not essential to view them. All videos made by Brett Portelli or myself (Matthew Goldzman), can be found at: http://www.youtube.com/GamersCast as well as on the feed itself. But just so you know....
Video Files: 256kbps (audio at 56kbps or 64kbps - stereo)

GamersCast Tournaments News Feed
Along with the GamersCast Tournament podcast on iTunes, The GamersCast Tournaments News Feed page will also keep you upto date on all of GamersCast's Tournaments. So, this way, the hearing impaired and those who don't want to bother downloading, can also stay upto date and compete in our tournaments. The page does use the same service as The GamersCast News Feed, so you will still get the same constant updates you have become accustomed to, but this page is using a new BETA by Blogger, so you will notice a few changes. One of which, is tagged posts. Using tagged posts, you will be able to choose the posts that interest you most, and will allow more organized web browsing. For example, if you would only like to see posts relating to the Metroid Prime Hunters Tournament, you will be able to simply click on the Metroid Prime Hunters tag. This will also allow us to arrange sign-ups for multiple tournaments at the same time as others. We soon hope to introduce this feature along with the other new features seen here, to the GamersCast News Feed.

Wii Release Date.....
Speaking of the release date, a chinese website has recently reported that Nintendo is having some glitches with the sensitivity of the buttons on the Wiimote, which may cause a later release date, but this is an unconfirmed rumor.
You can be sure we will have a podcast a few days after this event to discuss it, along with our celebration of GamersCast's 1-Year-Anniversary!
Episode 15, is almost out of editing right now....
