Metroid Prime Trilogy
Back in the land of the rising sun, Nintendo released both Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes as part of their "New Play Control" series. And American gamers have grown impatient as to whether we would soon see these games here. And now, I think we may have one-upped them.
On August 24, Nintendo will be releasing the Metroid Prime Trilogy for Wii. The Metroid Prime Trilogy will include all 3 Metroid Prime games on one disc for the Wii. And the first two games are being released with the New Play Control scheme for Wii and redone in 16:9 widescreen display.
The Metroid Prime Trilogy will release for the Wii on August 24 for an MSRP of $49.99, which is currently the same price as Metroid Prime 3: Corruption alone. So, if you haven't played through the Metroid Prime series before, this is a great way to start.

Call of Duty 7 Confirmed
Surprise! Surprise! Today it was let slip that what is currently being called Call of Duty 7, is now in development. Keeping up with the pattern that began after Call of Duty 2, this time around Call of Duty is being developed by Treyarch, rather than Infinity Ward. Infinity Ward's latest installment to Call Of Duty, Modern Warfare 2 is already set for release this November.
Based on what we've seen in the past from Call of Duty games, Call of Duty 7 will most likely release across all the consoles, unlike Infinity Ward's games which have had the tendency to exclude the Wii from release.
Call of Duty 7 is expected to release in late 2010.

Genesis Classics to XBLA
SEGA just announced that 7 classic Genesis games will be porter over to Xbox Live Arcade this summer. The list includes, Gunstar Heroes, Shinobi (arcade version), Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles, Altered Beast, Phantasy Star II, and Comix Zone.
Note that all of these other than Gunstar Heroes was released in the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection disc. So, we would highly recommend purchasing that rather than these individually. Unless the newly added Xbox Live Support for these games is enough to make you double dip.
No pricing details or exact dates were revealed for any of these titles.

Modern Warfare 2 Trailer Coming
There aren't many times that companies release teaser trailers as a way to hype the official trailer. But that's exactly what Infinity Ward did to hype up the trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. During an NBA playoff game on TNT, about 17 seconds of gameplay footage was shown of Modern Warfare 2, as an attempt to hype the real trailer, which is to released on May 24. Until then, there isn't much more to report on.

Pokémon Gold and Silver Remake
The same rumor has been circulating for years, with the same Photoshopped pictures popping up here and there. But now, it surprisingly has come true! Pokémon Gold and Silver are getting a remake on the Nintendo DS.
No major details about the game have yet been released, but it can be assumed that these games, Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver will be remakes of Gold and Silver in the same way that FireRed and LeafGreen were remakes of Red and Blue (Blue was green in other territories).
Pokémon Heart Red and Soul Silver will be releasing in Japan this fall for Nintendo DS, with a US announement most likely to soon be on the way. Remember E3 is only three weeks away.
