Its Finally Time To Buy A PSP!

Destination Playstation is always a huge event. The release dates of the dualshock 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, and an overhauled Playstation Store were announced at last year's event. This one focuses on PSP and Sony was not lying when they said big games are coming.

LittleBigPlanet will be coming this fall to PSP and Media Molecule is once again behind the next installment of the franchise which will be built from the ground up for PSP.

Motorstorm: Arctic Edge will be coming this fall to not just PSP but also Playstation 2. It will release this fall and will also be built for the ground up for its respective systems.

Rock Band: Unplugged will be the first game in the franchise to go portable exclusively on PSP. It will not use any additional accessories and will play like Amplitude and Frequency for PS2 (basically just with buttons and being able to scroll from instrument to instrument in real time.) The game will feature an in game Wi-Fi music store for DLC and will release later this year.

Dissidia Final Fantasy from Square Enix which sold 850,000 units will finally come to America later this year on PSP

EA Sports announced Madden 10 and Tiger Wood 10 for the PSP

Ubisoft announced Petz for PSP. They also announced Assassin's Creed for PSP to release later this year although they did not give any information about the game.

In addition, two new PSP bundles were announced. The first is a Hannah Montana bundle featuring a purple PSP, Hannah Montana PSP game, a UMD featuring several episodes of the show and a 2GB memory stick for $199. The second bundle is an Assassin's Creed bundle featuring a black PSP, a copy of the Assassin's Creed game along with extra items to be announced at a later date.

Nintendo DSi Comes Out Of Japan

The Nintendo DSi which has become quite popular in Japan is finally making its way to U.S shores on April 5 for $169. It will hit Australian shores three days earlier for $100 dollars more
The DSi ditches the GBA slot which makes it thinner. It has bigger screens, two 0.3 megapixel cameras and the ability to download DSWare with Wii Points and save to an SD card. It will come in a black color as well as an American exclusive blue color. DSWare is confirmed to cost 200 Wii Points at minimum and for those looking for great software, Rhythm Heaven from the creators of WarioWare which has sold over one million copies in Japan will come out along with the DSi on April 5 (you do not need a DSi to play it.)

Left 4 Dead: Survival Pack Free!

No, it's not a weird offer or scam, or something you have to refer 3 friends to do. No. It is completely 100% free! No strings attached! Surprising, huh?

But yes, the recently revealed Survival Pack expansion to Left 4 Dead has received a price point: Free. The expansion pack adds two new campaigns to the game and a brand new "Survival" multiplayer mode and will be released for PC and Xbox Live this spring.....for free!

Halo 3 ODST Maps

It was recently revealed by Bungie, that the upcoming game, Halo 3: ODST, will be shipping with 27 multiplayer maps.

However, 24 of these maps were all previously seen in the original Halo 3, including those from the upcoming Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack, soon to be released on Xbox Live.

The Dead Rises Again!!!!

The game is no longer just a rumor. Dead Rising 2 has been officially announced. It is in the hands of Blue Castle games who have made the BIGS and MLB 2K8. The game will be released for not just Xbox 360 but also Playstation 3 and PC. If you want to try out the original Dead Rising, a demo is up on the XBLM and the game on Xbox 360 sells for only $30. Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop is also coming this month to Wii if you do not have an Xbox 360 but still want to get your hands on a great game. Left 4 Dead Expansion Pack Unveiled

Left 4 Dead was one of the finest first person shooters to hit store shelves in 2008, but it was highly criticized for having only four short campaigns.

Well, fear not! For Valve has just announced a brand new expansion pack for the game. The new expansion adds two brand new campaigns to the game along with a new multiplayer mode called "Survival". (I would naturally GUESS it's a "survive as long as you can" sort of scenario)

The new expansion will be available for PC and Xbox 360 sometime this spring. The price point of the expansion has yet to be revealed.

Dead Space coming to Wii

It was announced today that last year's horror shooter Dead Space is on it's way to the Wii, being released sometime later this year.

Not much else was said about the game, but it can naturally be assumed that just like other 360/PS3 ports, there will be some downgrading involved, though developer say they are trying to make it as similar to the other console versions as possible.

Banjo Tooie Dated

Banjo Tooie, sequel to the popular N64 game, Banjo Kazooie was announced to be ported for Xbox Live Arcade shortly before the original was released on XBLA. And now, Rare has announced that Banjo Tooie will be making an appearence in mid-April on the Live Marketplace. No official price has yet been set, but my guess is: 800 Microsoft Points.
