Microsoft CES 2008 Announcements

This year at CES or the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas, Microsoft's presentation was more of a celebration of Bill Gates than it was an actual press conference since this is Gate's last CES. However there were some big announcements concerning the success of Xbox 360
-Xbox 360 has sold over 17.7 million units worldwide
-People spent more money on Xbox 360 hardware, software, and accessories last year than they did on Wii and PS3 combined
-Xbox Live has officially reached 10 million subscribers six months quicker than Microsoft thought
-Disney, ABC, and MGM will be bringing movies and tv shows like "Hannah Montana," "Lost," "Rocky," and "Rain Man" to the Xbox Live video store before the end of the month
-Xbox 360 is on track for 2008 to be the biggest year in video game history
-British Telecom will offer special Xbox 360 consoles that are also set top boxes for Mediaroom
