Back in E3 2006, when the very first demos were playable for the Wii, we saw Wii Music. In fact, Nintendo opened their press conference with Shigeru Miyamoto conducting his Wii Remote to Wii Music. And upon being asked, Nintendo said they weren't sure if it was going to move onto to be a retail title or if it would just stay there for demonstration purposes. And we haven't seen the game since.
Until today that is, and now that Nintendo is bringing the game up again, we can be sure that it is moving onto be a retail release. We are also sure that it will have some sort of multiplayer in the game.
Wii Music is expected to be released sometime in 2008.
